sophication

Sophie is a delight, as always. Everyday she gets to be more funny.

The other day I was reading her a book about the Arctic. The book said “Suddenly, the sky exploded.” Sophie gasped, “Is it thunder?” I was impressed that she did not even consider that the sky actually exploded. The she said, “Wait, they are in the Arctic, I know what it was, it’s the Northern Lights.” How great is that? She has an amazing capacity to pay attention to books, she doesn’t drift.

Sophie is practicing her last name and spelling words by sounding them out. Most of her words don’t have vowels, but they are great and I can read them.
