sophication

Sophie got a little digital camera for her birthday. At the birthday party we had a game for the kids where they had to take pictures of certain items or of themselves performing various actions, sort of like a cross between a photo scavenger hunt and photo charades. If they completed all the tasks we set out for them as a group (which of course we made sure they did) they got a little gift bag as a reward. They seemed to have a great time with the game, and Sophie was for the most part quite generous about sharing her camera. There were 7 or 8 tasks total, here they are doing two of them:

Lining up by height (remember, they’re just 4-year olds, so these had to be kind of easy)

Afterwards they got an ice-cream treat while the judges (me) printed out their pictures. Of course I had tested the whole process the night before, but through a little battery snafu — they popped out at an inopportune time — I still managed to lose most of their pictures….

After we judged the pictures and they played with their new toys for a while they got cake:
